Hi, I’m Genevieve Bergeret!
Genevieve Bergeret is a certified full-spectrum doula trained by Doula Trainings International (birth and postpartum) and Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) trained by Healthy Children Project and a LacPro through Go Milk Yourself. With experience in Comforting Touch and her background in coaching, Genevieve supports people through the monumental life experience of birth with power, freedom, and ease - regardless of what happens along the way.
A native New Yorker, Genevieve lives in Washington Heights and is the founder of Bright Day Doula. With a background in teaching and life coaching, Genevieve has a proven track record of helping people turn their intentions into their reality. She spent twelve years living abroad, most notably in the Netherlands where home birth is the norm — this has influenced her greatly as a doula. She has also lived in Japan and studied in Spain and France.
Along with being multilingual (fluent Dutch, intermediate Spanish, and conversational French and Japanese.), Genevieve has a special capacity to be with people from all backgrounds. She is culturally competent and supportive of LGBTQIA families as well as solo parents.

She’s knowledgeable and humble, and emotionally intelligent. Genevieve really helped to make the birthing process a really positive experience.”
“Genevieve was my birth doula, and she was absolutely incredible. I came into this process with a lot of anxiety. I got pregnant doing IVF, and often when you go through IVF you have extra anxiety that things are going to go wrong, so I really wanted to pick a doula who could hold all of my anxiety and trauma. Genevieve asked a lot of really important questions. I had a complicated birth, I pushed for a few hours and then had a c-section, and she reminded me to ask the right questions, and to take my time. She’s also been there for me for the last month while we were practicing breastfeeding. Genevieve is incredible!”
